The REAL truth regarding US AID to Israel

As I wrote in a previous blog entry of mine from March 2015. When the truth is really, told regarding funds allocated to Israel, only a fraction of the aid "given" actually stays in Israel. 

By far the largest share remains with American defense contractors. Peter McPherson, a former administrator of the Agency for International Development, estimated that every billion dollars of aid to Israel creates 60,000 to 70,000 jobs in the United States.

Compared to the ~ $3.0 billion yearly military aid to Israel, the U.S. contributes more than $130 billion(!) every year to the defense of Europe and more than $30 billion to the defense of Japan, Korea, and the Far East. 

Over 300,000 U.S. troops are stationed with NATO and over 30,000 U.S. troops in the Far East. 

In contrast, not one single U.S. soldier needs to be stationed and put at risk in Israel. U.S. military analysts estimate that the U.S. would have to spend the equivalent of $150 billion a year in the Middle East to maintain a force equivalent to Israel’s.

Israel is the only country that has gained battlefield experience with U.S. weapons -mostly used surplus vehicles, helicopters and artilley (M109). There use in combat situations is relayed to the U.S. military. 

It should also be noted that after their capture by the IDF in the '67 and '73 wars, enormous quantities of captured Soviet made weapons-including aircraft and missile defense systems were turned over to the U.S. military for analysis,

Israel, in the light of its experience, continually modifies U.S. weapons systems. For instance, Israeli engineers have made over 200 improvements in the F-15 alone and similar improvements, mostly in avionics, in later-generation planes. It would be more in line with reality if military aid to Israel were classified as part of the defense budget, rather than as “aid”.

Here is a partial list of Israeli manufactured military equipment used by the U.S. (as of January 2014):

a) ADM-141 TALD (Improved Tactical Air Launched Decoy)

Jet powered unpiloted decoys look and maneuver like an airplane. TALD's are used to confuse enemy radar and draw the fire away from piloted aircraft so they can perform their missions under "safer" conditions. Earlier unpowered glider versions of the ITALD were used extensively during the initial stages of the Gulf War and in Bosnia.

b) Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System

This helmet-mounted display (HMD) system allows fighter pilots to target enemy aircraft by using a display within their helmet to guide the missiles at the target they are looking at rather than having to maneuver their aircraft into an attack position.

c) Reactive Armor Tiles

Developed by the IDF after the Yom Kippur War, these tiles protect tanks and the soldiers within them. The tiles overlay the tank's armor and have embedded explosives that detonate outward when hit by missiles. The explosion destroys and repels the incoming missile before it penetrates the tank's main armor. During the 1982 Lebanon war, not a single Israeli tank equipped with these tiles was lost to enemy fire.

d) LITENING Targeting Pod

Litening is a navigation and targeting device that enables aircraft to fly and target in bad weather and at night. The Litening transforms older planes into round-the-clock fighters. The Litening is equipped with two cameras - one uses heat sensors to identify targets at night and during bad weather, while the second provides powerful images from long-range distances during the day. The U.S. Air National Guard, a quarter of whose fleet cannot fly at night, has purchased the Litening to enhance the capabilities of its F-16s. The Litening is also being purchased by the U.S. Marine Corps.

e) AGM-142 Have Nap

Known as "the Popeye," this missile is used to destroy targets, such as concrete military bunkers, with exceptional precision from great distances. It is the only air-to-ground missile that can be retargeted after launch. The United States uses the Popeye on B-52 bombers. A small number of aircraft armed with the Popeye were deployed to Europe for use in Kosovo.

f) UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)

The UAV has been one of the most important factors enabling the United States to fight effectively with minimum casualties. The U.S. has one of the largest fleets of Israeli-made UAVs which are used to identify targets and assess bomb damage without putting pilots at risk. During the Gulf War and Kosovo, Israeli-made Pioneer and Hunter UAVs were used to stop hard-to-detect targets such as missile launchers, artillery units and command and control bunkers.

g) Python-4 Air-to-Air Missile

The Python-4 is recognized as the world' most advanced short-range air-to-air missile. Unlike other missiles of its kind, the Python can fire at targets from any angle, not just those directly in front of it. This gives it a much larger zone in which in can effectively destroy enemy aircraft.

h) SIMON breach grenade

A rifle grenade designed to breach through doors. It is mainly used to access buildings with locked or barricaded doors without endangering U.S. troops or the people inside. A variant is currently in service with the United States army.

And last the most important of All the Iron Dome (Hebrew: kippat barzel)

The Iron Dome System is an anti- "projectile defensive system. It is designed to "neutralize" -explosive laden rockets, artillery shells and mortar rounds. 

It's radar which was developed by Elta compliments a"specialized rapid data system" to correct the interceptors in mid flight to their target. The system's radar is referred to as EL/M-2084. It detects the rocket's launch and tracks its trajectory. The BMC calculates the impact point according to the reported data, and uses this information to determine whether the target constitutes a threat to a designated area. Only when that threat is determined, is a Tamir interceptor missile fired to destroy the incoming rocket before it reaches the predicted impact area

It should be noted that within the US-Israel "Joint Military" assistance program -"the US AID package"- Israel purchases most of the components from Raytheon, a US Defense Contractor, who since July 2014 has been a major U.S. partner in co-production of major components for the Iron Dome's Tamir intercepting missile. 

The U.S. Defense Contractor Raytheon supplies components through various US owned and subcontractors -with US workers - in a Tamir missile manufacturing facility in East Camden, Arkansas USA NOT JUST FOR ISRAEL BUT for the US Marine Corps and partner forces.

This means that ALL the US Aid Funding is going back into the pockets of a US Defense Contractor who employs some 70,000 US citizens. 

More importantly the Iron Dome Defensive System is a means of warding off missiles sent in an act of a  blatant "International War Crime", against non military civilian targets within Israel.

In case you think the relationship is only military, Israel had more companies listed in 2012 on the NASDAQ stock exchange than any country outside the United States, except for China. After Silicon Valley and Boston, Israel receives more Venture Capital than anywhere else in the world.

What does this mean in jobs for Americans?

In 2010, U.S. subsidiaries of Israeli-owned firms employed 23,600 U.S. workers, with compensation for those employees totaling $1.8 billion, and U.S. affiliates of Israeli-owned firms also contributed $256 million to U.S. exports.

In my opinion, that's a pretty good return for the US Taxpayers. I wonder if we should now demand that the media and these brainwashed members of congress explain exactly what we get in return for the unaccounted millions given -with absolutely NO restrictions nor accounting to UNWRA and the Palestinians.

Let the truth be told

It is so appropriate, in light of what is happening in our world at this very momment, the truism in the portion from the Haggada that states;

"For not just one alone has risen against us to destroy us, but in every generation they rise against us to destroy us; and the Holy One, blessed be He, saves us from their hand!"

This line of the Haggadah written many hundreds of years ago, literally stands out in light of the tsunami of vile anti-Jewish/antiSemitic/anti-Zionist/anti-Israel hatred.

How many times have we, the Jewish People, "sojurned" in foreign lands and suffered from all sorts and forms hatred, discrimination, persecution, Ghettoization, pogroms, massacres and marginalization in EVERY land we wandered to. 

Grossly vilified and mocked just like the character Shylock in the "Merchant of Venice".

Just how many generations of Jews were tormented and slaughtered solely because we were a people without a land of our own?

How many fathers and mothers, sons and daughters have had to weep as their homes and families were wiped out? 

How many stateless-landless Jews fled to the forests and roads in their fruitless attempts to escape certain death at the hands of their neighbors! 

And how like today, how many "Dathans" -read "JINO"-Jews In Name Only -KAPOs according to the Talmud wicked from beginning to end, openly side with our enemies in their false belief that they will be spared the same fate as ours?

Those anti-Israel "members of the tribe", haters who brashly call themselves "anti-Zionists". These  fools can be seen standing willingly alongside those who wish to slaughter ALL the Jews. Those who cite "as a Jew" in their vile fabrications and lies as though only they have the right to speak for our People!

How these gullible "brainwashed and bamboozled" zombies -like those of Code Pink and the "Jewish Voice of Peace" -who oh so willingly believe the utter lies, endorse and spread, ALL the abject,vile, fabrications lies of falestinian dezinformatsiya. 

The JVP -an oxymoron - are infamously known for their "Not in my Name", "As a Jew",openly  anti-Israel and anti-Zionist rhetoric and social media comments.

These Jews in name only (JINOs) are especially overly extreme in their hate of Jews who have returned to our ancestral lands in Judaea and Shomron.

Nary a time have they ever acknowledged the fact of the reasoning for the creation of the Jewish State and the historical background of Israel's creation. Nor the very real legality of our right to be in our indigenous homeland of Judaea and Shomron!

They are totally oblivious to the historically document truth of the ethnic cleansing of 900,000 of their fellow Jews, who had lived for generations in Arab lands who were "cast out" deprived of all they possessed but who were absorbed as full citizens in the one Jewish State.

These same "JINOs" -anti-Zionists, who so like the KAPOs of the Ghetto's and later in the "Death Camps", willingly obeyed the SS and helped in the very real "Genocide" the implementation of the so-called Final solution to the Jewish question (Die Endlsung der Judenfrage).

Yet, here we are. Once more, again, this Passover eve, faced with that timeless wave of utter vile disgusting hatred of the (Zionists) Jewish People merely because we exist ain our hard fought reclaimed indigenous homeland!

I ask in all humility; How it is that all these -non Arab Moslem - "Christian" hate filled youth, who are "flocking" to those University demonstrations or those who march "In Solidarity", have never read or been taught the real and documented historical TRUTH?

 Are they NOT students in the "pretigeous" Ivy League group of eight universities that have similar academic and social prestige; Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth College, Harvard, Princeton, the University of Pennsylvania, and Yale? Those same universities as Oxford and Cambridge in Britain, that have been respected for providing an excellent education for a long time? 

Do their "esteemed professors" not pride themselves in relaying actual and factually documented and proven historical truth?

The documented historical truth of how from the birth of the "Zionist" effort in 1880 Jews wishing for better lives free from persecution had strived to return to the "Promised Land" in a provence of the Ottoman Empire. 

How Jews from all over the world saved monies which were used to purchase land from Ottoman Turkish Arab (absentee) landlords. 

Many times the lands offered were "useless" rocky barren or swamp filled areas with Malaria and sickness. Because of this the Arabs labled the Jewish pioneers as "The Children of Death". 

And how as these "Children of Death" gave life to the barren swamp filled Malaria infested lands into lush fruitful agriculture lands and created towns and villages in which education and commerce began to flourish. 

How as the pre-state pre World War I Jewish Pioneers transformed the land, so too did the hatred, jealousy and envy of the Arabs grew and became more pronounced!

The documented truth, of how in the post World War I period, the Ottoman Empire - the Middle East -was re created with previously nonexistent nations and NON existent border lines where arbitrarily drawn up according to the interests laid out in French and British agreements? 

That "Palestine" like "Eretz Yisrael" is a geographical term immortalized in the "Mandate for Palestine" and specifically in Mandatory Government documents and coinage, as we see used over and over again by the pro-falestinians as "Proof" of the existence of their supposed entity!

How the British used "Perfidious Albion" in the "Balfour Declaration" and its influence and power to gain the "Stewardship" over the previous Ottoman Turkish areas for their own nefarious reasons. Mainly to gain the Mandate over "Palestine" so as to use it as a forward military bastion to guard the Suez Canal. 

How England upon being granted the "Mandatory" they turned around and paid off their WWI Arab ally by giving over 2/3rd of the territory assigned them by the League of Nations EAST of the Jordan river with the added stipulation that it be "Jew Free".

WE -the Jewish People- those who successfully survived the very real Genocide of the Nazi regime in Europe were able to retrive our indigenous Homeland recently at the cost of the deaths of many of our fellow Jews, many of whom were "just off the boat" survivors of the horrors of the Holocaust in Europe.

Those stateless and unwanted Jews with absolutely NOWHERE to go! 

Those who languished in European Displacement Camps for years because many who tried to return "home" found that all was taken from them. Many survivors who attempted to "Go Back" were set upon in acts of murder or pograms! 

Unwanted anywhere, they cried out to the heavens; WHERE can we go!

The "educated" university students have NOT BEEN TOLD the well documented historical truth of how in 1939 the Mufti of Jerusalem and the British had slammed the "Gates of Eretz Yisrael", our "Promised Land", shut. 

The truth of how inorder to prevent a Grand Mufti threatened continuance of an Arab uprising, the British issued the infamous "White Paper" thus sealing the fate of the Jews of  Europe. 

Or how deviously the Mufti of Jerusalem-the leader of the Arabs of the Mandated Areas had communicated by telegram with the leader of the SS Hennrich Himmler to encourage the Nazi's to murder more Jews. 

How conveniently the world has forgotten how the Arabs had connived with the leaders of Nazi Germany to forbid Jews from escaping and to murder as many Jews as they could.

How the British readily acquiesced to the Arabs every demand and only gave up ONLY when they were bankrupt at the end of WWII and had lost their far eastern holdings in India and were no longer in need of the Suez Canal.

How ONLY after the UN Partition and the termination of the British Mandate Governance and withdrawal, that the White Paper blocked gates were finally removed and those Jews who had languished with NOWHERE to go, left the "Displacement Camps" in Europe and Cypress for Eretz Yisrael the Promised Land with all the hope to live as Free Jews in our homeland.

How it is never told the well documented and historically recorded facts of how in response to the UN Partition the "Arabs of the Mandated Areas", who were divided into two competing fractions. Bitterly refused to accept the "Partion" and declared a war to exterminate all the Jews and the "Jewish State".

How Arab peasantry swept out of their villages to slaughter their Jewish neighbors but when they encountered the modern Maccabeees they realized their error and fled in mass in their self-created "Nachba".

Ever since the resounding defeat of the Arabs of the Mandated Areas and the armies of the members of the Arab League in May of 1948 and later in the wars of 1956, 1967 and 1973.

The "Arabs of the Mandated areas", inspired by their KGB instructors, have been taught the "art of dezinformatsiya" to create a fantasy, a dream a vision as they have tried to imitate our narrative of our disposession at the hands of the Romans.

Just as by Israeli law any Jew who wishes to return to our -archaeological and documentary proven indigenous homeland, can do so. So too have the "Palestinians" have strived to negate our connection to the land to label us as Khazarin European Usurpers -- European colonizers.

They have imitated our "Right of Return" to mean return of ALL those supposed 5 million descendants of those 700,000 Arab actual refugees who fled in 1948.

They claim they want a "Two State" solution, yet, chant "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free"? 

And when you ask for clarification of what is meant by "From the river to the sea."? There are those "moderate" Palestinians who state that they desire the eradication of the "Jewish State" and the removal of ALL Jews who arrived after May 1948.

I ask how long will it take before the world will finally awaken to the truth?

The Truth about Hezbollah and Israel

As a long time resident of Ma'alot going on my fiftieth year I have witnessed the absurdity of the so called "Plight of the Palestinian's" and the recent history of Lebanon.

When I first arrived in Ma'alot in March of 1976 it was nearly a year after the horrific "Massacre in Ma'alot" on May 15, 1974 where a forced rescue ended in the cold-blooded murder of the civilian hostages by the remorseless Palestinian terrorists hostage takers. 

The attack was carried out by three "Arab-Israelis" who joined the  (DFLP) the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine:

Ali Ahmad Hasan al-Atmah (Linou), was 27 years old and he was born in Haifa.

Ziyad Abdar-Rahim Ka’ik (Ziyad) was 22 years old he had been born in Taibe. In his youth he had been involved with criminal activities and he had a police record as a juvenile delinquent and he had been placed in a institute for juvenile delinquents “Achvah” near Akko-Acre. According to the records of the Israeli Police upon his release he joined a criminal gang that specialized in burglaries. He also became a journeyman in laying tile floors for contractors in the area of Netanyah.

Muhammad Muslih Salim Dardour (Harbi), 20 years old, the youngest member of the group was born in Beit Hanina a neighborhood North East Jerusalem.

These three terrorists went to Lebanon to join the "Resistance" and received training in "Palestinian refugee camps" in the "No Man's" land of southern Lebanon known as "Fatahland". 

After the "Arabs of the Mandated Areas" catastrohic lost-read failure to commit a very real "Genocide"; in the extermination of ALL the Jews of the newly (UNR181) partitioned "Mandated Areas" know as the "Nakba" in the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. Lebanon became home to more than 110,000 Palestinian refugees. 

These refugees as ALL "Palestinian Refugees" in ALL ARAB lands, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Jordan have NEVER been absorbed and assimilated as productive citizens. 

In the aftermath of the establishment of the state and in total difference to those  "Palestinian Refugees", some 900,000 "Mizrachi Jews of Arab Lands" were "ETNICALLY CLEANSED" robbed of their property, businesses, and possessions and expelled from their homes from 1949-1964. 

In total indeference to the treatment of fellow Moslems and Arabs,  who were enclosed within fenced in UNWRA camps. These new immigrant Jews were absorbed by Israel as citizens. They were housed initially in "Transit Camps", due to the lack of homes. These corrigated metal hut and tent refugee encampments formed the basis of the  "Development Town" project to create new towns like Ma'alot in the prepheral areas of the country. 

These communities mostly comprised of Jews of Arab lands, many of whom had lived in rural areas where they were severly mistreated and uneducated, were in need of assistance in their assimilation -especially in their process of modernization and education. 

Many of the more French or English colonialized educated and wealthy Jews choose to immigrate to other countries or to move to other sections of Israel. Leaving a cultural as well as social problem that hindered Israel's development for decades.

Lebanon

After the infamous "Black September" of 1970, the southern part of the "sovereign nation of Lebanon" was subverted to a terrorist stronghold by Yasser Arafat and the PLO -Palestinian Liberation Organization by the large influx of  some 300,000 Palestinians that had been displaced from "Palestine" aka Jordan by the forces loyal to the imposed Hashemite King Hussein.

From 1967 until 1982, many numerous murderous attacks were launched from this area into Israel unhindered by the Lebanese forces or the UN "Peace Keeping forces".

"Operation Litani" of 1978 was provoked by the "Coastal Road Massacre" of 38 Israeli civilians, including 13 children. The intended purpose of "Operation Litani" was to clear the PLO out of Fatahland but was not allowed ro be completed by pressure brought on Israel to make a "ceasefire".

"Operation Litani" ended under intensive pressure from the US and the UN for a "Ceasefire" and the "United Nations" Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was created after the incursion, following the adoption of United Nations Security Council Resolution 425 in March 1978: 

"to confirm Israeli withdrawal from Southern Lebanon, restore international peace and security(sic), and help the government of Lebanon restore its effective authority in the area."

In reality the PLO under the "watchful eyes" of UNIFIL, returned to the area with a vengenace and brought with them Soviet made 133mm artillery, Katyusha rockets and multiple launch trucks and 122mm mortars. 

Not content with terrorist infiltrations Arafat unleashed his arsenal of artillery and katyushas to fire indiscriminately almost nightly into Israel at civilian targets under the "watchful eyes" of the UNIFIL.

Israeli Concern For It's People

"Fortunately" the leadership of the Jewish state were wise and caring enough to construct public bomb shelters to protect it's citizens, especially in those areas neighborhood where older housing did not have any. 

Post 1967 apartment buildings were required to have a bomb shelter for all the residents. Needless to say "public" or "joint" bomb shelters lack privacy and are noisy and are not made for a stay of long extended peiods like that of "todays" "Secure room" which are available in all of todays new housing. 

In the post SCUD missile 1991 "Desert Storm" period newer housing starts by private contractors vied for providing a "secure room" in their new individual apartment housing. Since then standards for built in a "secure room"have increased.

Regretfully, for those of us who live in the prepheral areas, the once infamous "Development Towns". Our homes were built during the monetary crisis of the late 1950's early 1960's when construction mateials were scant. In my neighborhood of two floor apartments . that are 52 sq meters or 552 sq feet each; compare to average American   882 square feet. Bomb shelters were only constucted for neighborhoods in the post Six Day War period comprized of a single large underground room and toilets.

So when the shelling became increasingly a "nightly thing" each night from 1980 -1982, my wife and new born son would go downstairs to the bomb shelter to sleep in safety with the other wives and children of the building. 

We husbands and new fathers would stand guard in posts on the outskirts of Ma'alot, or in my case as a combat medic man the emergency medical center.

In 2006 during the "Second War" in Lebanon during the war, the Hezbollah rocket force fired between 3,970 and 4,228 rockets at a rate of more than 100 per day, unprecedented since the Iran–Iraq War. About 95% of these were 122 mm (4.8 in) Katyusha artillery rockets, which carried warheads up to 30 kg (66 lb) and had a range of up to 30 km (19 mi). Of those 1686 explosive ladened rockets were fired at Ma'alot, 6 landed less than 50 meters from my home.

The only difference is now we have the Iron Dome system which has been actively shooting down those missile/rockets fired at us.

Lebanon Now

In June of 1982 Israel could take it no longer after gunmen from Abu Nidal's organization attempted to assassinate Shlomo Argov, Israel's ambassador to the United Kingdom and the 1982 Lebanon War, dubbed Operation Peace for Galilee began.

"After attacking the PLO – as well as Syrian, leftist, and Muslim Lebanese forces – the Israeli military, in cooperation with their Maronite allies and the self-styled Free Lebanon State, occupied southern Lebanon, eventually surrounding the PLO and elements of the Syrian Army. Surrounded in West Beirut and subjected to heavy bombardment, the PLO forces and their allies negotiated passage from Lebanon with the aid of United States Special Envoy Philip Habib and the protection of international peacekeepers. The PLO, under the chairmanship of Yasser Arafat, had relocated its headquarters to Tripoli in June 1982. By expelling the PLO, removing Syrian influence over Lebanon, and installing a pro-Israeli Christian government led by President Bachir Gemayel, Israel hoped to sign a treaty which Begin promised would give Israel "forty years of peace". 

Following the assassination of Gemayel in September 1982, Israel's position in Beirut became untenable and the signing of a peace treaty became increasingly unlikely. 

Outrage following the IDF's role in the Phalangist-perpetrated Sabra and Shatila massacre of Palestinians and Lebanese Shias, as well as Israeli popular disillusionment with the war, led to a gradual withdrawal from Beirut to the areas claimed by the Free Lebanon State in southern Lebanon (later to become the South Lebanon security belt), which was initiated following the 17 May Agreement and Syria's change of attitude towards the PLO.

After Israeli forces withdrew from most of Lebanon, the War of the Camps broke out between Lebanese factions, the remains of the PLO and Syrian forces, in which Syria fought its former Palestinian allies. 

At the same time, Shi'a militant groups began consolidating and waging a low-intensity guerrilla war against the Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon, leading to 15 years of low-scale armed conflict. The Lebanese Civil War would continue until 1990, at which point Syria had established complete dominance over Lebanon."

What Wikkipedia fails to elaborate on is that most of the area south of Beirut to the Israeli border was an area where members of the Shi'ite branch of Islam reside. 

And as the Israeli government favoured a close relationship with the Lebanese  Maronite Phalange Christian forces over that with the depressed and oppressed poorer Shi'ite minority animosity towards Israel grew.

As I mentioned in my other posts in addtion to this issue of the status of Christians within the Arab world. There has ALWAYS been a conflict within Islam between the majority Sunni Muslims who believe that the Prophet did not explicitly declare a successor and the Shia Muslims who believe that the Prophet publicly designated his cousin and son-in-law, Hazrat Ali, as the first in a line of hereditary Imams from the Prophet's family to lead the community after him.

With the "triumphant return" to Iran in February 1979 of the leading scholar of Shia Islam Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, whose first name means "spirit of Allah" he created a theocracy in Iran based on the Velayat-e faqih or guardianship of the Islamic Jurist. 

This is a concept in "Twelver Shia Islamic law" which holds that until the reappearance of the "infallible Imam", at least some of the "religious and social affairs" of the Muslim world should be administered by righteous Shi'i jurists.

It is out of this Shi'ite belief that Hezbollah the party of God (Hizb Allah) declared its existence on 16 February 1985. 

The sons of the ummah (Muslim community) established "The Hizballah Program" with the aid of the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in order to spread the Islamic Revolution which follows a distinct version of Islamic Shia ideology.

According to "The Hezbollah Program" the principles of its ideology are: 

To expel Americans, the French and their allies definitely from Lebanon, putting an end to any colonialist entity on our land.

To submit the phalanges to a just power and bring them all to justice for the crimes they have perpetrated against Muslims and Christians.

To permit all the sons of our people to determine their future and to choose in all the liberty the form of government their desire. We call upon all of them to pick the option of Islamic government which, alone, is capable of guaranteeing justice and liberty for all. Only an Islamic regime can stop any future tentative attempts of imperialistic infiltration onto our country.

The current leader Hassan Nasrallah has described Hezbollah's ideology as having "two main axis: 

firstly, a belief in the rule by the just juris consult and adherence to Khomeini's leadership; and 

secondly, lay down the basis of a Muslim state which plays a central role in the world, as well as the continued need to struggle against the Israeli enemy"

Hezbollah views its conflict with Israel and the Jewish people as religiously motivated. 

The history of the Arab-Israeli conflict to them is a repeat of the negative interactions between the Jews of medieval Arabia and Muhammad and the early umma described in the Koran and other classical Islamic texts. 

God, according to Hezbollah theology, cursed all Jews as blasphemers damned for all time and throughout history.  Hezbollah (as well as the political/religious leaders of Iran) believe that the destruction of Israel will bring about the "reappearance of the Imam (the Shiite Islamic Messiah)"

Furthermore, the elimination of the state of Israel has been a primary goal for Hezbollah. 

Hezbollah not only opposes the government and policies of the State of Israel, but also each and every Jewish civilian who lives in Israel. 

Its 1985 manifesto reportedly states "our struggle will end only when this entity [Israel] is obliterated. We recognize no treaty with it, no ceasefire, and no peace agreements."
